A few of you out there may remember Dennis English from Carlisle. Sadly he passed away from a combination of late life nasties, a bit over a week ago. He was one of Carlisle's well liked characters and was always a kind and sociable friend. Some of you may remember his shop - Dennis English Mountain Sports back in the day.
Dennis' funeral will be held at Carlisle Crematorium, on Dalston Road at 2:20pm on Wednesday 6th of July. The humanist service will be followed by a gathering at the Creighton Rugby Club, Sycamore Lane, Carlisle CA1 3SR, for those who wish to reminisce about Dennis, tell us the forgotten stories and catch up with old friends you had in common.
Please let any friends or acquaintances of Dennis know. While this notice is primarily for people within the Carlisle Mountaineering Club, we know he had many old friends in the Fell and Rock Climbing Club, his skiing buddies and the cycling gang. Please let them all know they are welcome.
