Picked up a box from work yesterday of 25 self testing kits....haven't done one yet but going to start on Monday I think as we have been told to do it twice a week.

Anyone else doing the same?

Just got mine at work. I work on a COVID ITU and this will be the first test I have had.

Are these the lateral flow tests? swap + indicated result after 15 mins? I saw you can buy a job lot for €15 / test

In reply to Max factor:

Yes it's a lateral flow test kit. You self swab your nose, pop it in some buffer solution, mix it about, then put a couple of drops onto a test strip. 1 line shows negative, 2 lines positive. If you get 2 lines you have to have a proper pcr test and self isolate etc

That's appalling! I can't believe we have been asking people to work anywhere in healthcare, but more so Covid wards, without regular testing! What an absolute shambles!

I hope you are well and stay well!

Ah ok, so does my wife. Not got any tests though. Different trust perhaps.
