So, after assuring everyone that no geolocation will be shared, that is literally in their plans.

Plus, if their development security is lax enough to leave this sort of information on an unsecured Google Drive, I'm not sure I want this anywhere near my phone.

Indeed, that's a rather embarrassing lapse. And not only to have left it unsecured but also to have sent round a link to it without realising.

The article says might and maybe. Would it make sense to make a basic app that can't be upgraded or make one that can so if things are getting out of control they can update it and dig deeper in to the new data in an effort to suppress the spread of the virus.

This is crap but I doubt the ministers aid that either made the mistake of purposely left the door open is involved with the building or operation of the app.
