Has anyone had any joy in getting one of these yet??

If so what was the process like?

My brother got one. Through his regular bank. He applied for £50k. Minimal form filling. Within a week the full amount was in his account. Seems like an easy process as long as you have an account with the bank you are applying from,  you have a good credit record, and your business was doing ok before lockdown.  He was gobsmacked at how easy the process was.

My brother got £10k with a click of his fingers and then wished he’d asked for more. 

Very straightforward. We had a choice between WAG development bank loan and a government backed loan from our bank. The loan from the bank was approved within 48 hours and the cash was in the bank within two weeks. 

If we pay it back in the year the government will have paid the interest so it will have cost us nothing, otherwise it's 2.5% interest. Cheap money.
