Only a few metres from other sighting, I see this this evening

That looks like the same bird as in the first pictures, but a better image. 

The white feathers aren't a 'normal' feature of a native species, so indicate EITHER a leucistic individual (house sparrow?) Or else more likely an escaped captive bred Canary/hybrid.

Not the same. No red / orange present in this bird. Those colours really stood out in the other one.

RSPB forum: two responses suggest an escaped juvenile canary! Wing pattern on back looks like that of an Island Canary.
