Anyone any advice on planting beech nuts in the wild? Just to give nature a helping hand.

I was talking about this with a friend recently.

It depends what you mean by native. And by beech, for that matter.

Keep in mind, also, that different types of trees have come and gone as the ice has advanced and receded at different points during our current ice age; all trees were invaders at some point, and many have come and gone and come again.

I was searching for acorns too but all I could find were diseased badly deformed ones, with gall wasp eggs I believe from comparing to pics on google.

If the trend of the last few days keeps going it won't be long before there's a thread titled 'Beach Huts'.
