Maybe an obvious question, but I couldn't quickly find an answer via Google - should the figures on my Annual Tax Summary sent from HMRC match the figures on my P60 issued by my employer for taxable income and tax paid? There's not been anything noteworthy happened in my tax affairs in the last year, and I only have the one job. As it is, my P60 shows a taxable income around £1000 higher than my Annual Tax Summary.

Benefits in kind? Health schemes etc?

If your P60 is higher it is probably due to pre-tax (ie tax exempt) deductions...On mine this is Pension, and I think share scheme (and I used to have a deduction for the bike to work scheme)

haha! You've not met my Boss! No, none of those, just a plain job, no extra benefits at all.

The only pension deductions are the statutory workplace pension scheme, which isn't shown on either the P60 or rhe Tax Summary.
