Advice on new camera.

Hopefully the hive mind can help here.

I need a camera for taking pictures of buildings, so capable of zooming in to say a chimney stack and taking relatively detailed shots of things, chisel marks in stone for example.

I have no real idea what this means...but it needs to shoot in RAW?

Doesn't need to be anything fancy really, wouldn't mind one with a flip round screen for doing self takes.

Any general picture taking advice also welcome!

I just took delivery of my new Panasonic Lumix FZ300 yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet as I somehow oversaw the fact that a storage card isn't included, but it would tick your boxes. I got it on offer for €350. Here's the review that decided it for me:
