Sunrise from behind the tower blocks of Glasgow.

It was amazing today. Cycled over Eaglesham moor at about 1pm and there was still a cracking cloud inversion (correct me if it wasn't, looked like one) over the whole city.

Lovely!

I was running at Garscube last night. Low fog was just forming on the ground. As I passed the football pitch, where a game was in progress, the fog came up to shoulder-height on most of the players. Quite funny to watch as they could obviously see each other but not the ball

It it was in watercolour, it could be a Turner.

Love it.  What’s the yak like creature?  And where’s it taken from (I know Glasgow a bit).

Yes, Turner. Like it.

Haven’t you heard of the Scottish Buffalo? Once seen in great herds sweeping majestically over the plains of the Lowlands.

In reply to mick taylor:

That's a highland cow or, in Scots, a highland coo.

The fields are part of Pollok Park [Estate for the oldies ] where they keep a fairly large herd.

I was looking south south east towards Pollokshaws.

Thanks though it was one of those times where I wish I had a decent camera. It was kinda stunning to watch the sun emerge from behind the blocks, with the incongruity of the grazing cows.

In reply to Flinticus:

Nice pic. I did think for a second Glasgow sunrise might be a euphemism of sorts.

Heilan' coo, surely?

Great pic. 20 years since I've been to Pollock Park.

15 years since I started walking there. The last few years have seen the biggest changes, with the work on the Burrell Collection.
