/ Stockport & Manchester climbing partners wanted
Climbing 2 years, on mostly auto-belay due to lack or regular climbing partners. Average 6b/6c. Currently live in Heaton Chaple.
Looking for climbing partners in Manchester and Stockport to lead climb, top rope and boulder with. Awsome walls and depot are main places but looking to do more outdoors stuff in the Peaks when summer gets here.
Hit me up or find me on facebook. Christopher David Edwards.
Hi Chris. I'm in Stalybridge I go awesome walls often and am looking for local people to climb with in the peak weekends or evenings, when the days are longer.
The Rucksack Club https://rucksackclub.org/ is a great option for finding climbing partners locally - A National club with its roots in Manchester and probably half of its 500 members in the area; 150 meets a year (including Wednesday evening climbing every week) and three great huts in The Pass, The Lakes and Glencoe for when you want to go further afield.
We meet every Wednesday evening during the winter at Awesome Walls or MCC so why not come along and get to know some people. PM me and I'll be happy to make an intro
Hi Chris and Lee I’m looking for climbing partners at Stockport on Thursday evenings 4pm to 6.30pm if any good to you? Cheers Will
Hi will. I shall give you a shout next time I'm free. I work away often, so will be more random than regular. Also I'm looking for people around the Peak for summer weekday evening climbs. Thanks Lee
Sorry, not been on for a bit. Sounds good. Def be doing more in the summer as mate Eddie and I make our way to the Peaks.
Im keen for outdoor in the evenings in Summer. Finish work at 4pm and live Chew Valley so loads to go at. Just give me a shout when you’re free. Cheers Will
Hey Chris, Lee & Will,
I've just moved to Stockport (also Heaton Chapel!) & looking for partners for awesome walls; also keen for outdoors and lots of trad experience but after most of a year off lost all my confidence & add fear of grit to that I'm a bit of an outdoors wreck at the moment, happy to second easy stuff tho and belay you on anything (although you may need to ab for gear if I can't get up it!), also gently ease into easy leads again.
I don't drive but have a full rack apart from cams, and half ropes.
Definitely up for indoors at awesome though, easing back into indoor leading but experienced belayer & happy catching big falls etc.
Please give me a shout
Hello all local people!
I'm also in Stockport and always keen for new partners. I end up at MCC regularly but visit all the walls around Manchester.
Always keen to get outside as well. I'm an experience outdoor climber, I drive, and have plenty of gear and training experience if you need some refreshers.
I can also vouch for Will, who did not murder or rob me when I went away climbing with him.
My next planned outdoor trip is to Denver 13-28 April (anyone is welcome to come along - we've got 3/4 people going currently) and then after that have 2-3 weekend trips planned each month until November.
