Hi all,

I'm trying to plan my next Lakeland adventure, I enjoy adding scrambles into my mountain days. Does anyone know if there are summer routes on the NE face of Catstye Cam? I can only find winter routes when I search, but looking at the map and photos there looks like there shoud be a route up the face that follows the line of the winter gully route.

would be interested to know if anyone has gone up this way. If it's a climb then maybe it's a route for another day when I've got my full rack with me.

Cheers

Gareth

Highly likely to be unspeakable choss I'd have thought. There's good reason to wait for ice to glue it all together!

Disclaimer; I haven't actually been on that face.

There's definitely no summer climbing on this face. At best you might find some chossy, vegetated scrambling. The NW ridge which forms the R edge of the face is a pleasant walk, especially in winter.

I've used the gully as a summer descent a few times: nothing there to require a rope.
