Similar Trip Adviser comments on Ben Nevis saying it is too steep and too high. I wonder if it is people trying  to be funny. Perhaps comments are by tabloid reporters short of a story.

It is rather sad isn't it?

It's a piss take, just like the reviews for pizza express in Woking in which people remark on despite the place being boiling hot a bloke in the corner wasn't sweating..

Trip advisor should get some better moderation - I just had a quick look and some of the comments are ridiculous.

They don't. I know decent small businesses who have suffered as a result of unchecked and vindictive comments from "customers"

I suppose so far as Snowdon is concerned the outcome of the silly comments is pretty harmless, and some are quite funny. No one in their right mind would use Tripadvisor as a guide for Snowdon or any other mountain, when there is good and sensible guide advice, both on line and in books.

Yet we as climbers allocate star ratings to bits of rock...

Mind you, I'm told that in days gone by the Ben observatory used to serve a mean skinny latte.

And the North Light on Lundy was famous for its Tandoori.
