Can anyone confirm that the roads and paths up to and around Fairholmes and Kings Tree are open now?

AFAIK the road is usually open during the week but shut at weekends and on bank holidays. Have there been some recent extra closures for roadworks or something like that?

I haven't been up there lately myself, but the closure notice is still up on the PDNP and Severn Trent websites...

I ask because I went about 4/5 weeks ago and the road was closed at the viaduct, I think for tree felling.

I've now looked at the link max posted and it says shut for approx 3 months from 12 Sep. So unlikely to be open any time soon I'd say

In reply to Sam Beaton:

The closures on the western side are for removal of diseased larch trees; I've heard (hearsay) that they have found more trees to remove than expected. ...

The contractors compound(s) were still there last Friday when I was last up that way night riding (we didn't go anywhere in the closed area).

You can still get up to Lockerbrook by forest trails that are outside of the closure area.

All tracks on the west side of the reservoir still closed, and likely to be so for a while yet
