I've just been doing some checking on my final Wainwright completion figures, and would be interested to know what other people have totalled up (if they've bothered) for the 214 fells.  I don't think there's a right or a wrong and there are so many variables and different ways of doing things, but it would be interesting to know if I'm in the right ballpark with my figures and what others have found.

My cumulative figures (for the 214 fells) were

516 miles and 177,000 feet of ascent

In most cases, I was day hiking, driving from the Yorks Dales, so driving and doing 4 or 5 hills each time, taking 50 days (spread over 10 years).  I did several overnights in Wasdale purely due to driving distances.

So what (if any) were your figures for total miles and total feet ascent?

(FWIW, for the 116 Outlying Fells, I did 27 visits (over 5 years), 205 miles, 48,000 ft ascent)

I'll probably get round to doing a entry/claim form for the LDWA Hillwalkers register
