Be very careful to park in a marked bay - not uncommon to see parking notices for parking outside of marked bays there. Get there early, it's been very busy recently...

No, just the £1 per hour rate, until if memory is correct 18:00. I paid using my phone in July, it was a bit of a faff to set up the account but once done was ok.

You can park by Ardgartan which has toilets and it’s free parking. Alternatively, parking by the train station is a good option. 
 

Both avoids roads and it’s just a wee bit longer hike up. 
 

I refuse to park at the main car park! It overflows frequently, still. 

It also floods reasonably often. ABDC have no shame at all.
