Going to snowdonia over easter to do some scrambling.... any idea if there will be much that is doable is there just too much snow to melt in time?

I couldn’t see much on Smowdonia from Famau tonight due to the Alpenglow, but since there was a bit on north and east facing slopes on Famau, I expect that higher north and east facing slopes in Snowdonia would be holding some.

In reply to ewanjp:

Its very variable at the moment.

Some areas are completely snow free - Northern Glyderau including Elidir were in full summer conditions today bar the odd smear of melting snow.

Elsewhere it's largely wind scoured but with thin pockets of fresh loose windslab particularly on Western facing slopes. A few gullies (Banana, ?Parsley Fern) are hanging on at the moment, but with rising temperatures they may not last long.

Tryfan and Crib goch do both have some snow cover today but it's a long time to Easter!

Ogwwn mountain rescue has webcams pointed at the glyders you can use to keep an eye on conditions https://ogwen-rescue.org.uk/webcams/

The BMC has a monitoring station in Cwm Idwal that give live temp data https://www.thebmc.co.uk/idwal obviously if the temps are above freezing you won't see much snow,
