It is time to withdraw mountain rescue, and let anyone breaking the restrictions take their own risks !

And when a farmer breaks his leg tending his sheep, producing our food?

And when your grandmother who's got a touch of the dementia goes walkabout and no one knows where she is?

And when your neighbor thinks everything's a bit too much for them and heads for the hills not sure if they intend coming back alive or dead?

Its more than about people making unwise decisions, and it is not possible to differentiate between them and more 'deserving' cases. It is a service to rescue people from rough terrain.

It's a voluntary service!

If you are a member of mountain rescue and you want to withdraw your services you're totally free to do so.  If you're not a member of mountain rescue it's really none of your beeswax.

Lets just trust them to make appropriate decisions to look after their own team members as well as other people.

Edit to add:  If any of us have one to spare, it wouldn't hurt to drop a quid in a (virtual) collecting tin either - their regular fundraising efforts will be severely curtailed for the foreseeable future.

Not everyone.  But certainly this one.

And perhaps anyone that shouts in block capitals without doing the slightest piece of background checking on the incident in question...
