Hiking the GR5

thanks for sharing- i was looking for a similar length alpine walk for sept after enjoying the haute route last year in similarly fine weather as yourself. was considering the Julian alps but your trip looks a good alternative.

getting back from Modane would be shorter/cheaper by crossing the border to val di Susa and returning via Turin?
