I'm looking for a warm (not micro/nano) down jacket for winter bouldering. I currently have the Patagonia Nano Puff which is not warm enough for sitting around under a rock. Any recommendations?

I've got a fantom and a filoment hoody. Fantom for me is really warm for sitting around in - filoment is a bit too light for that. Also had great customer service from alpkit including when things go wrong with gear

What's your budget?

These just got to the top of K2 - plenty warm, and they'll make them to your individual sizing if you need:

I have a Rab Neutrino which is super toasty. Not cheap but worth it. Makes me look like Michelin woman but so so cosy 😃

I was given a Rab Positron for Christmas.  It's super toasty warm and lovely, and is a bit longer than some of the other options, which is good for keeping your bum warm.  Excellent for loitering at the bottom of a crag, and has a two-way zip which is useful should you find yourself belaying in chilly conditions https://www.outside.co.uk/womens-clothing/womens-jackets/womens-down-jacket...

The other option was the Mountain Equipment Senja, which is good value for the amount of warmth and, like the Positron, is also a bit longer than some other jackets.  But the fit wasn't quite right on me due to my bum / bust proportions.  If it had fit me, I'd have got it.  https://www.outside.co.uk/womens-clothing/womens-jackets/womens-down-jacket...

Looking at the specs, the Rab Neutrino probably sits somewhere between these two in terms of warmth and weight, but looks slightly shorter so less bum coverage.  I didn't try it on because the shop where OH works doesn't stock it

My old jacket was a Neutrino, but actually a mens small - when I bought it nearly 15 years ago I think Rab's womens' sizing was a bit off and the men's small fitted better than the womens'.  But it has got tired, holey, and lost some of its warmth.

If a medium does you well, I highly recommend the Fjern Husly. It's super thick, well featured and an absolute steal for the money. It's also synthetic so you don't have to stress about getting it wet like down.

Can't believe I've not looked at them!

Thank you very helpful! Fantom looks great - I've had good service with them too.

That looks incredible and would certainly keep me warm... a little out of budget for me. Tempting though!
