Hi there

I’m heading up to Scotland next April for a weeks walking in the hills and I’m thinking I may need something a bit warmer in addition to my Fjällräven trekking trousers if it’s freezing!

im a big guy, 6’6” with a 38-40 inch waist and was looking for some recommendations on suitable trousers.

I really prefer layering so was thinking I may just need something like softshell that I can then add to or remove from with either a base layer or shell.

any ideas?

Just put some long johns under your fjallravens with the option of overtrousers on top? That combination does me year round

It might be worth looking at American brands for different size options.

mammut have stuff up to HUGE sizes, also with extra long leg cuts which seems what you seem to be looking for.

My best walking trousers are all from Haglofs. I'm 6'3 and take a medium long, 32-34 waist, 34 inside leg. A bigger waist and long leg should work good
