I have the normal Kinetic ProFlex jacket.. what is the difference between this and the new Alpine version? Im assuming the alpine is a bit more burly and it has 'ceramic wear' patches which mine does not.. but seems to be the same jacket though?

The main differences  I believe between this new Alpine version and the original are:

Redesigned hood- To be more helmet compatible and more adjustable. 

Ceramic prints- Placed on high wear areas to reduce abrasion. 

Hem drawcord- To get a closer fit. 

These changes have resulted in a slight weight increase.
