Just picking the collective hive mind as I've drawn a blank.

Can anyone think of a brand that still does an Oval screw gate that isn't I-Beam. Much better when used with a Petzl Stop or Id as nothing to catch on when closing! I can fine steel versions but not in aluminium.

Was going to say the Petzl OK but just seen that is probably I-Beam now too. I'll keep searching.....

The two Petzl triact ovals I have for sale are not I beam......£10 pr plus post.  Used, but only a little.  With Stops as it happens   ...

I have plenty of steel oval carabiners if weights not an issue? 

My Petzl oval OK's have flush noses on them, no hook and I bought some last October.

I'm not too bothered though, as once your I'd or Stop is on you don't have to remove the crab to engage the rope in the devices.

Ye, it's more for caving on rebels etc, it's not a mega issue at all just with round biners they're smoother to close!
