As the title says - I'm looking for a Christmas present for someone who would like to watch wildlife at night with an infrared nightvision device.

I've seen a few online and realise that £200-£300 will get me something that won't be the best but that's all I've got really to spend. The hope is to be able to watch wildlife at night from a range of up to about 150m.

Eg. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KVY3CNG?pf_rd_p=338d5482-a910-4f62-b...

Or

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bresser kit is usually OK quality, but I only have experience with their microscopes and spotting scopes, not the IR scope you linked to.

Magnification may be a bit low for 150m unless you are cow spotting....

We’ve got one of those Bresser ones at Scouts for use during night games. It’ll give you rough ID out to 100yds on small animals but nothing spectacular.

Yukon kit isn’t bad for the money and should give you a step up in quality
