ROM stand for range of motion and that is exactly what this Marmot jacket aims to give you, says Alan James. It is a soft shell but also offers a great deal of wind protection and water resistance due to the Marmot M2 soft shell and Gore Windstopper fabrics it uses. What it tries to add to these features is a range of motion often missing in more weatherproof jackets. This is achieved by the Angel-Wing Movement and the stretch-woven polyester panels under the arms and on the side of the torso.
