I've an old Macpac Minaret which I bought second hand here about 7 years ago.

One of the pole sections cracked on a particularly windy night in Sardinia last year, with insufficient guying out.

I’ve spoken to Macpac- the EU retailer said to speak to NZ, and the NZ folks recommended a shop in Melbourne called Remote Equipment Repair, who have said that they can fix if I ship the pole down under.

Before I do that, does anyone have recommendations for a UK/EU based repair shop? Or an old/broken tent with usable poles that they’d be willing to sell?

Scottish Mountain Gear replaced a Macpac tent pole for me. It was years ago now, but worth seeing if they still do this.

Get a new section from Scottish Mountain gear and repair it yourself. Its pretty easy to do. pull out the end bits that fit into the ground tapes with pliers and rethread the poles using a coathanger.

What about something similar to this and a generous dollop of araldite (or similar expoxy) https://ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/tent-pole-repair-splint/
