I've got a split tip and hoping to get out tomorrow. I don't have any climbing tape, does anyone know of a good alternative I could pick up from a pharmacy / supermarket?

Elastoplast fabric strapping.  Can't guarantee it's the one, but I think it's basically finger tape but flesh coloured.

Climbing tape tends to be be good quality zinc oxide tape, a version of which is definitely available from Boots.

Only problem is, it's rubbish, very thin, not very sticky, and will need constant re-application, but will get you through a session.

Ducktape?

As Rich L mentioned - zinc oxide tape.

You might be lucky and find a pharmacy will have a brand like "Strappal" in stock which is better quality than the Boots own stuff
