Hi all, looking for recommendations for a good quality insole/footbed for a pair of Asolo B2 boots. More for cushioning the fore foot than any other part.

TIA

I use Orthosoles, and have done for the last 20 odd years

They are expensive, but if you suffer from flat feet, as I do, they are well worth the price. I used to suffer agony after and sometimes during, a long walk in boots, but since starting using them walking is no longer a problem.

Thanks for the link, yes a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.  I don’t suffer from flat myself, it’s more the repeated striking over the forefoot that I’m bothered with.

The fore foot is also where I have the most discomfort. Thanks for the topic..

Enertor? Again, expensive, but v.v. comfy.

Another vote for Enertor.

I'm on my second set having walked about 1000 miles in the first set before they started to wear out

Superfeet excellent and long lasting. They come in a wide range of sizes and degree of support, including winter specific ones. Not sure if available in UK though

I use Sorbothane Shock Stopper Double Strike Insoles. Well padded on the heel and forefoot.

It was Sorbothanes I had in my last boots way back (coming back from a 15 year hiatus), and from memory they did the job, are they still up there in terms of performance? I'm interested in these Enertor soles, but can't get my head round how on earth a sole so thin can do such a good job ??

I would have thought in today's competitive market that boot manufacturers would outsource the insoles to the specialist manufacturers, just like the do with the outsole?
