I'm new to this forum and would like to learn/hear more about what you think is the best winter clothing brands for alpine, skiing, hiking etc. 

Brands i know of but yet not tested. Have you guys any feedback on these brands?

Hey, no not really. I've identified these as more "premium" brands for the purpose of doing some winter tours. Myself i'm not buying expensive stuff as these are so i would like to know if it's even worth it.

How do you plan to test them before buying?

Without knowing what you plan to do exactly and how rich you are, it's very hard to recommend gear. If you're only averagely affluent, then Decathlon kit is great, but if you're rolling in it, then you have more options.
