Backpacking United, Germany, have anyone purchased from them before? Are they good, bad, tax, returns, etc?

Cant recall the consensus, sorry. I ended up not using them. But have a bump.

We had this thread a while back and I replied then. I used them a couple of times about 5 years ago. I bought a pair of suspiciously cheap Scarpas, which were fine, so bought 2 more pairs. Not seen a similar deal since so I haven't used them again, but I would be happy to buy from them again if they had a good deal.

I'd contact them first, a brief look and it doesn't seem they have embraced the horror of doing business with the UK yet!
