These are on special offer until stocks run out at Aldi. They are telescopic 3 section with clamp locking. Price £14.99. I am quite tempted to buy some to take on several overseas trips with cabin luggage this year on the basis that if they are seized by airport security it's not a great financial loss and cheaper than paying for hold luggage. Against this it would be a nuisance to have them confiscated on the way out! Equally if they turn out to be rubbish it would be a nuisance to have useless poles.

Has anyone any experience of them? The price seems too good to be true......

I haven't tried those ones, but I wouldn't say the price is too good to be true! You can pick up some carbon fibre poles for 25 pounds or so. Classic Chinese-made bargains: not nearly as reliable as versions four times the price, but certainly not four times worse. Worth a try, I'd say.

Just bought a pair - can't see anything wrong with them, and they have a 3 year warrenty - what's not to like.
