Hey guys, I'm about two years into climbing and my cheap climbing shoes are falling apart. I'm looking for a replacement, I don't mind how expensive they are.

Outdoors I really like long multi-pitch slab climbs where I'm standing on tiny little holds so it needs to be relatively comfortable and have a good edge. Indoors I like a combination between overhangs and slabs. This will be my bouldering shoe for the next 4-5 months after which I'll get something more aggressive.

All depends on the shape of your foot.  Get down to a shop and try some on if you can!  What kind of rock do you normally climb on ?

Something that's very specialist for that (a fairly flat stiff edging machine like the TC Pro) is not going to be ideal for overhanging indoor bouldering.

So you either have to compromise and look for a good all-rounder shoe (as afshapes said, it's all dependent on footshape, but subject to that, one of the many models of Miura could be good) or think about getting different indoor and outdoor shoes.

I mostly climb limestone just because it's the most common rock type, but I'm trying to get on more granite.

In reply to imahuman118: It took me years to realise you need at least 2 pairs of shoes for different rock types/climbing. Save yourself the bother and get 2 now.... it doesn't cost anymore over the long term as the shoes obviously last longer.

Buy these for indoor: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/rock-shoes-grey-id_8495164.html

It's just training, so there's no point wasting a pair of decent shoes every six months. The extra focus on your feet to get good performance will pay back in spades when you get outside too (try anasazi velcros for great slab performance.)

I think this link would help: https://www.99boulders.com/best-sport-climbing-shoes

personally for me when you deciding to go for good shoes, try to manually visit the store and try out different option from your list, and decide which suited you the most, I believe its depend on person to person!
