Im doing Monte Rosa this summer over 4 days.
Ill be there 2 days in advance to start warm up. We'll have one afternoon and the next day full day.
Any recommendation ?
We were thinking about something in the Aosta region first day then sleep in Courtmayeur and take the Skyway the next day for some trekking at high altitude then drive back to Staffal.
What do you think ? What's to do around Skyway that's doesnt require guide / rope ?

If you’re based in Staffal you can access a reasonable Via Ferrata- can’t remember its name but its start is handy for the mid station of the cable car from Alagna  - you can then complete a long ridge walk that goes to 3000m more or less, then descend to the Rifugio Orestes for a night at 2600m. Good acclimatisation and a quick descent to Staffal for your 4 day program.

The Skyway door opens straight onto the glacier so anything would require a rope and the skills to use one crossing glaciers. There’s plenty of nice walking around Aosta and Courmayeur.
