Hoping to pick the brains of anyone who has experience on Triglav in winter (we're aiming for mid-March).
Specifically the following:
Hut system: is it open? Does it need advance booking in winter? What's the set up (relative to a hut in the Alps etc)? Sleeping bags needed?
Route finding: we would be attempting the normal route, and I understand there is some via ferrata in place? While we have via ferrata gear we are treating this as just a classic mountaineering trip. Is that an unwise move? Would one expect reasonable footfall on a normal weekend in March or are we likely to be the only party on the hill?
Where is best to stay as a launching point the night before/after?
