Can anyone give me any idea what snow conditions are like on the above route in late April?

Im doing it in early May so I will let you know. Sounds like it will be snowy and that will compund the problems with ice etc on the decent if your going down the same way.

Thanks for trying to be helpful. May last year was a horrific, waist deep snow plod. I'm hoping April might offer some greater stability???

In reply to StuartCJones: you mean Weissmiesin may? I think April would have ice and this would be compounded by fresh snow, that's based on no experience of it however.
