Hi there,

A friend and I will be cycling through Morrocoo in January. We will be passing right by Toubkal so quite fancy ticking it off if weather allows. We are both experienced alpine climbers but would rather not lug crampons and an axe with us while cycling. Does anyone know if it's possible to rent walking axes and crampons without paying for a guide?

Hi, was there two years ago and saw plenty of second hand b1 crampons and long axes for sale in Imlil, think renting should also be possible. Try contacting the refuge maybe they might be able to put you in touch with some people or might do kit themselves as you can get to the refuge without crampons and axes.

A guide may now be required if the restrictions mentioned in the link below still apply. Plenty of crampons/axes for hire in Imlil (or at the refuge) when I was there Nov 2018
