For anyone who may be interested, here's quite an insight into how soldiers operate in an alpine environment as part of a pilot rescue mission. Something a little different I guess

I'm not sure I'd have carried a climbing helmet on top of wearing a steel helmet for the walk-in.

If somebody is going to be shooting at me while climbing I reckon the risk of falling rocks is the least of my worries.

Looks like the Norwegian military use the "other" DMM Catalogue, although you'd have thought they could have found some less bright accessory cord...
