I'm looking to do some peaks at around PD standard in Austria in the broad area around Innsbruck. Has anyone been out there recently and know what conditions are like? I'm wondering whether things like the normal routes on the Grossglockner, Wildspitze etc will be much harder than normal with ice.

And if anyone knows of any good English-language guidebooks / information beyond the Cicerone hiking books and the 1990s climbing guides, that would be ideal too! I don't know the area and am finding it hard to understand what's what.
