GHIC card and AAC insurance

I notice that in the AAC insurance you're required to present an EHIC card in order for them to pay for your medical treatment:  https://www.alpenverein.at/portal_wAssets/docs/service/versicherung/oav_ver...

Post-brexit, Brits can't get EHICs, but we can get a GHIC (which is the British government's version of the EHIC, and provides the same benefits, in the same countries).

Was wondering if anyone had had experience using a GHIC with the AAC insurance, and whether it worked?

I have assumed that since AAC still offer us insurance, and have that clause, yet it is common knowledge that the GHIC card is the post Brexit UK equivalent to the EHIC card, that all is hokey dory.

So I use AAC.

In reply to Humphrey Allen:

That document predates the GHIC. The document isn't due for revision until the end of this year, so you're likely to find that the next version will mention the GHIC as well.

There's mention of GHIC on their website as a replacement for EHIC here: https://www.alpenverein.at/britannia/membership/Member-Benefits/Alpenverein...

In reply to Humphrey Allen:

nice. Have now confirmed with KNOX the AAC insurance company, that GHIC is ok.
