Saw a fb post that the eiger is currently a no go, but didnt give any more info than that? can anybody shed some light? Now the north face is pretty much always a no go in summer these days, so i wouldnt expect that to be post-worthy, has there been a serious rockfall somewhere else on the mountain that would make it a 'no go'? or is it just unsurprisingly lean and dry and crumbly?

Maybe the poster on fb can clarify what's putting the whole of the Eiger out of bounds. Aliens on the summit maybe? Or just bad weather ...

it was a comment in a group which i wasnt a member of that a friend screen shotted to me... i am now a member so have got to the bottom of said mystery! just a bit of snow, think the poster was being a bit over dramatic!
