HI all, I live in Zermatt and am heading out on a long road trip in May.  I am hoping to fit in as many mountain hikes, sport routes and Via ferrata's as we can but I am struggling to be able to get all the information to plan our route to include some good routes.

Does anyone have any advice on what book/online resource that would help me?  I have ever only been on single destination alpine trips before so I am pretty new to the idea of road tripping with my gear.

Thanks all!

The climbers paradise website has a lot of info, the bergsteigen site is also very useful.

Fairly impossible to plan beforehand; in May everything higher up could still be deep in snow, or you could have summer conditions already. I'd just head for where the weather happens to be good for starters, and take it from there.

Lots of ideas for Austria in here:

https://www.alpinverlag.at/bueche/klettersteigfuehrer_oesterr.html

. . . (which I have used happily).

Also includes most of the Klettersteigen in south Germany, and some in eastern NorthEast Italy.

AlpinVerlag.at also has a guidebook for moderate multi-pitch and sport routes in Austria.
