I have taken out membership of the above for a forthconimg trip to France. I've read the insurance document, and yes all looks good for rescue, repatriation, third party etc.

What I can't find is whether it'll do as a basic Travel Insurance policy, i.e. if I fall ill, or fall off my hotel balcony or other non-climbing related medical issues?

Anyone know?

We always take it a cheap standard travel policy as well. 

You may not need/want cancellation or baggage cover but AAC certainly won't cover this.

Like you I was unclear on if I would be covered for medical treatment/repatriation following a car accident traveling through France, or if for example my husband went down with appendicitis so £50 for a basic travel policy felt like money will spent.

Im fairly sure it.doesnt, or at least not well. (Have you upset Putin?)
