Just seen this news story. A small nation sized iceberg about to beach off South Georgia.  Apparently it could be there for 10 years! A new ice climbing destination?

I thought your thread title was referring to a cunning attempt by Tom in Edinburgh to close off the border... 🚫🧊

Never mind the iceberg, walking on teak decks in crampons!  Should be shot!

Yeah that made me cringe! Especially as one of them was being careful bum shuffling over the deck, but the other one just didn't give a stuff!

Felt so vicariously exposed watching the boat back off and leave them on the iceberg without even a buoyancy aid between them. Can't imagine swimming in lots of layers with heavy boots and crampons on is much fun at all.

Assuming this is the Mike Horn video, by his standards flipping an iceberg before lunch is an easy morning.

I don't know if it is the boat in the film, but he lives much of the time on a craft called Pangea. Worth looking into, an amazing thing he's doing.
