I can be watching really good TV or a film and I can fall asleep (like an hour ago). But put some good music on and ‘whey hey, wide awake club’. Every time. Why?

I know, Rammstein at only number 8 keeps we awake. Good driving music.

Because you're an intelligent man; films and shit follow a linear narrative structure that can frustrate the mind whilst music forms the score to your thoughts!

I’ve migrated from Sebadoh to Leatherface. One of the best things to come out of Sunderland.

Makes sense. I’m now playing some Sugar.

Edit: and great memories with music. My mate Jaff got me into Sugar, he died good while ago, but always think of him when I play Sugar. And Leatherface = Sunderland where I lived for a while.

Because it expresses that which words cannot articulate.  Because we all like counting without being aware that we're doing so.  Because it inspires, soothes and reminds.

That's most of it.  I may have missed a few things.

Nice. In related news I bought a Husker Du album recently. Good stuff, hadn't heard it for years.

Copper Blue was one of the greatest albums of the 90's.
