Very nice youtube video

Some speculation who Rousseau actually is as his(or her) YT channel is anonymous. Some people think its Stephen Limbaugh, who has a thing for contemporary as well as classical music, also his thumb and relaxed hand position give clues. Having said that, some speculate it's all fake, and a midi piano or slowed down and someone playing the piece at half speed...either way..as a fan of virtuoso classical piano I find these videos completely mesmerizing.

The "guitar Hero" graphics give a lovely visual on what is coming up and personally add to the experience for me

Hope you enjoy (Moonlight Sonata mvt 3 and La Campenella are my two favourites)

Yes, love this guy.

If you liked the Lizst (how can you not?), have a go with this one, maybe his most famous:

Edit. Let's have some animated Chopin too.

Beautiful graphics, think it could be good on a big screen and on something

I think I prefer seeing the hands do the work when I am sat in the office stone cold sober though.

Liszt...what can you say? Just an incredible composer

Haha. Made me think, imagine a gig where you could hear a brilliant performance of this stuff, with the graphics on a massive screen linked in real time to the performer, and no one was bothered if you were full of 2cb, because half the audience were also ageing ravers who'd turned to real music once they'd got close to 40.

Maybe there's a market out there?

I too am a big fan of Rousseau, especially Campenella.

My favourite Lizst piece is "Contrabandista" performed by Valentina Lisitsa, its almost like a rock song, goes through multiple moods, key changes, just an awesome piece of music.

I keep pestering Rousseau to do it, but no luck yet!

I'm typing an email to the Royal Festival Hall right now...there won't be any door security so the opening night will go down in folklore as "that night we all got blown off our t1ts staring at a massive tunnel whilst Stephen Hough knocked out Rachmaninovs Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini, before the cops turned up"

Just watched it now...brilliant!

Brilliant stuff. Haven't come across those distribution visuals before, they're fascinating. I've enjoyed all the links posted on this thread, thanks to all for posting!

Here's Valentina playing one of my favourite keyboard pieces, Busoni's piano transcription of Bach's Chaconne in D minor (for violin):

He was a fine pianist but, imho, a mediocre composer when compared to his contemporary, and professional rival, Chopin.

I wholeheartedly disagree.
