In memory of those who lost their lives at Dunkirk. A wonderful film which I remember from my childhood.

Its a poor quality re-production to watch, but I sat through it last night (It isn't very long). Funnily enough, I hadn't remembered it as having Jenny Agutter and Richard Harris in it.

I actually found it quite haunting to watch again. Very sad.

I played the album by Camel, inspired by the tale.  One of my faves, so the slightest excuse is good enough.

Not sure I've heard of it. Any link?

Out of curiosity, have you ever been?

In reply to Removed User:

There are two versions, of which I prefer the live one, linked here.   youtube.com/watch?v=VUumYJEuTos&

And no, never been.  Normandy beaches yes - and they're a humbling place - but not Dunkirk.

Any if you can find one, get a copy of the book which also includes "The small miracle". Just don't blame me if it makes you cry.

My brother bought for me as a present when I was about eight, still one of the best and saddest books. Must read it again.

TBH, the film is heartbreaking.
