I am an enthusiast for Norse culture both ancient and modern including deciphering runes and learning Old Icelandic. But I am the opposite of a white supremacist nutter.

I didn't think the film was that good, to be honest - it was about half an hour too long for the storyline (as seems to be a trend at the moment) and was just a bit of a gore-fest in quite impressive scenery.  But I've never ceased to be amazed at what the Guardian manages to read into stuff at times...

Must admit I always wonder when I see runes tattooed on somebody. I need to get better at reading them I suppose.
