Signature in Hard Rock

Hi, 

Just hoping someone might be able to help me identify a signature? Recently bought a first edition copy of Hard Rock and found a signature in the front cover. I believe it says A E Ramsbottom. It might be nothing but if anyone knew who it might be then would be interested to know!
