This is just a  quick thumbs up for Sarah Kendall's Australian Trilogy which is curently available on BBC Sounds. This comprises three half our episodes which depict episodes from her life growing up in Newcastle Australia and are an absolute joy to listen to, bluring the boundries between stand-up and storytelling (and truth and reality). Despite being incredibly funny they are also very poignant so why not treat yourself, you wont be disapointed.

Spoiler alert : There is a second trilogy

Really enjoyed the first series. Struggling to find much good comedy on radio 4 these days, even the news quiz isn't great this series, missing Jeremy Hardy

I've liked the News Quiz for years but now it's an unlistenable disaster. The chair's unfunny overscripted gabbled tirades are embarrassing. Very sad. And yes Jeremy Hardy was an utter genius.
