That's a shame, their Hacienda gig was one of my favourites, just seen that it's available on dvd, that could be interesting/embarassing to watch.

RIP. The Cramps were one of the best live acts ever. Not many people know this, but I suspect you do; the international Cramps fan club, "Legion of the Cramped" was based in Grangemouth.

I didn't actually, despite living just down the road. Was it ran by Brian Guthrie by any chance?

I did a bit of Googling, it was started by Lindsay Hutton and....Morrissey! 

And Hutton's 1st live experience of The Cramps was supporting the Police at the Glasgow Apollo, as was mine. The difference was I thought they were shite and didn't get into them till the late 80's. :-D
