Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks has passed away aged 63, heart attack apparently. A great shame, he wrote some top tunes, I can remember gangs of drunken lasses staggering round town on a Friday night hollering Ever Fallen in Love. Some great gigs as well.

F*ck me, carpe diem.

Brilliant pop songwriter and singer who happened to catch the punk wave with Buzzcocks. I wish I’d seen them play live.

Homosapien also a great song as a solo artist.

Shocking news. He wrote some great songs

Very sad news. The Buzzcocks were the best fun in Punkdom.

He was so good he gets two threads...

Was that the one where the power got turned off because of the fighting, and they carried on unplugged until the plods turned up?

Kicking myself I didn't see them locally recently. Now I feel like a right tw*t.

I'm gonna forget what I came for here real soon
Your time's up and me too
I'm out on account of you"
